North Delhi Mayor Yogender Chandolia has written a letter to the Lieutenant Government Mr. Najeeb Jung regarding notification of roads that the Corporation had passed and sent to the Delhi Government for notification.
Chandolia informed the LG that people are carrying out trade on these roads for about last 40-50 years. He said that in the interest of small traders, the Corporation had demanded notification of these roads for mixed use. The Mayor said that a proposal in this regard was passed by the erstwhile Corporation. He said that because of the delay in notifying these roads, the traders are facing problems in continuing their trade.
He said that the notification of these roads was pending due to political reasons and demanded that traders be provided relief at the earliest in this regard.
