Workshop on prevention and control of Vector Borne diseases in Delhi is going to be organized by Public Health Department of SDMC at Gulmohar Hall, India Habitat Centre New Delhi. The workshop will be inaugurated by Commissioner, SDMC.
The workshop will be attended by WHO Consultants, Experts from NCDC , NVBDCP, Delhi Govt , three Corporations, New Delhi Municipal Council, Delhi Cantonment Board, Medical Superintendents / Nodal Officer of 33 major Hospitals, CMOs of neighbouring districts, representatives of intersectoral departments and programme officers of all local bodies.
Draft Action Plan prepared by Public Health Department of SDMC for prevention and control of vector borne diseases in Delhi will be presented in the Workshop. Newer initiatives like use of GIS map prepared by Geospecial Delhi Limited in monitoring of vector borne disease situation, amendments in building bye Laws and involvement of ASHA workers in domestic breeding checking will also be discussed. Based on deliberations and recommendations of Workshop Action Plan will be finalised for implementation during the year 2014-15.
