Kabul, May 16 (IANS) Afghan President Hamid Karzai Friday congratulated Narendra Modi Friday for leading the BJP to victory in the Indian general elections.
"President #Karzai extends his warm Congratulations to @narendramodi on victory in elections. Afghans always regard #India as a true friend," Aimal Faizi, spokesperson to the president, tweeted Friday.
Karzai is nearing the end of his second and final term.
