Kejriwal goads his supporters for selfless sacrifice, asks them to desist from violence

Jind, Sat, 29 Mar 2014 ANI

Jind, Mar. 29 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday told a packed audience of his supporters in Jind to let go their ego and be ready to sacrifice for the country to fight against the ills that plague the country. Kejriwal also asked his supporters not to indulge in any violence.

"Yesterday while we were on our way to Bhiwani an unidentified man attacked on my neck. It was not surprising that he attacked me as it was his religion. Today we have challenged big powers and we are exposing both the BJP and Congress as they were busy looting our nation. If they think we will sit quiet then that's not happening. These kind of assaults will keep happening. Hence, people who are present must be ready to lay down their lives and only then our movement can be kept alive. I am surprised that volunteers of AAP started beating up that man;no matter what happens we will not assault anyone," Kejriwal said.

"The attacker cannot be an Anna supporter as media is trying to project. Everybody knows where the attacker was from. Ours is a long fight and 2014 Lok Sabha Polls will be a turning point and those so called big fish will be trounced and therefore we must let go of our egos as the other parties are afraid seeing the passion of our volunteers. The nation looks forward for your selfless sacrifice," Kejriwal added.

Arvind Kejriwal, on Friday evening once again had to face the wrath of an unidentified person, who attacked him while he was campaigning.

AAP volunteers immediately pounced on Kejriwal's attacker and overpowered him. Soon after the AAP chief urged his followers not to resort to violence as that was not what AAP stands for. (ANI)
