New Delhi, Mar 26 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded veteran Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna from the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat in Punjab.
The party announced this as it released a list of nine more candidates last night.
Khanna will take on Punjab Congress chief Pratap Singh Bajwa who had defeated him in the last election in 2009 by a narrow margin.
Khanna had joined BJP in 1997 and was elected from Gurdaspur constituency in the next year's Lok Sabha poll. In 1999, he was re-elected to the Lok Sabha from the same constituency.
In 2004 he won re-election from Gurdaspur. However, he lost out in the 2009 Lok Sabha poll. (ANI)
