Wardha (Maharashtra), Mar.20 (ANI): Raking up the issue of the killing of soldiers in Kashmir last year, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Thursday said the Congress should answer how they plan to bring back the severed heads of the martyred soldiers.
Addressing a rally here, Modi said: "They should answer to the people how they plan to bring back the severed heads of the soldiers who were killed last year. Our soldiers have mostly died during terrorist attacks rather than in wars."
"The 'One Rank One Pension' was a long standing demand of serving as well as retired officers. Numerous letters were written to the Prime Minister and the President. But the government did not do anything. The promises of the Congress are false," he added.
He also raised the concern of the farmers and attacked Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar for placing on cotton experts even when the harvest was recorded well.
"The UPA announce packages but give nothing. They are not concerned about how water reaches the farmers. The need of the hour is to equip the farmers with latest technology,"
"There is a need to connect the farmers with the modern technology. Micro irrigation has to be provided to the people. From my Gujarat experience, this will benefit the farmers," he added.
He also emphasized on 5F (Farm, Fibre, Fabric, Fashion and Foreign) formula to help the cotton farmers. (ANI)
