Poonch , Wed, 19 Mar 2014 ANI

Poonch (Jammu and Kashmir), Mar.19 (ANI): Residents of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) captured two Indian horses near the Line of Control (LoC) along the disputed Indo-Pak border.

Two Indian side horses crossed over the Line of Control (LoC) while grazing on the bank side of Poonch River. This was witnessed by the owner of the horse and others from the Indian side of LoC.

"Our horses graze regularly in the same area. Throughout the year, all the animals in the region graze near the river bank. The horses used to return late in the evening, but today the horses crossed the river. They are animals and they do not know that the other side is Pakistan. We were unable to cross the river to bring back the horses. Suddenly some people came and with they captured our horses with the help of a rope and we kept watching the whole thing. We requested them to return our horses," said owner of the horses, Mohammad Junaid.

The owner of the horses and other residents of the Indian side of LoC approached the paramilitary force deployed on the border.

They have filed a report in Jhalas Saloteri village police station. As of now, the residents of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) have refused to return the Indian horses. (ANI)
