Washington, March 3 (ANI): Jared Leto paid tribute to his mother, Constance Leto, while accepting the best supporting actor trophy for 'Dallas Buyers Club' at the Oscars.
The 42-year-old actor played a transgender AIDS patient in the Jean-Marc Vallee-helmed drama that also stars Matthew McConaughey.
Leto said that in 1971, there was a teenage girl who was pregnant with her second child, People Magazine reported.
She was a high-school dropout and a single mom, but somehow she managed to make a better life for herself and her children, he asserted.
Leto revealed that "the girl" was his mother, and thanked her for teaching him to dream.
He added that he loves her. (ANI)
