18 people feared killed in Nepal plane clash

Kathmandu, Feb.17 (ANI): At least 18 people are feared dead after a Nepal Airlines twin otter plane went missing on Sunday.

According to local reports, the plane was on its way to Jumla in western Nepal.

A Nepal Airlines spokesperson said they have not been able to locate the plane as yet.

He said among the passengers are a child and a Danish national.

The missing passengers are yet to be identified.

The plane is said to have halted for refuelling at Pokhara Airport before leaving for Jumla, which is about 400 kilometers west of Kathmandu.

Among the 18 passengers are three crew members.

The plane was scheduled to land in Jumla at 1.45 p.m. local time.

The Nepal Army is conducting the search operation on the ground in the country's Palpa and Arghakhanchi Districts. (ANI)
