Prince William slammed for receiving `cut-price deal` on university fees

London, Sun, 19 Jan 2014 ANI

London, Jan 19 (ANI): Prince William, who has started a 10-week course in agriculture management at the Cambridge University, has come under fire for getting a discount on his supposedly custom-made course.

University students criticized the Duke of Cambridge, asserting that while ordinary undergraduates have to deal with 9,000 pounds annual tuition fees and leave university with a huge debt, the future king has been granted a cut-price deal, the Mirror reported.

Vice president of NUS, Dom Anderson, said that it's not as though the Queen has had to remortgage Buckingham Palace to help William through university, and there are surely more deserving postgraduate students than the heir to the British throne who will inherit a 400 million pounds estate.

Sources told the publication that senior members of the Royal Household also believe that William's aides were naive to accept the discount.

Before the reports of the discount surfaced, students had slammed William for getting accepted in the university because of his "royal status". (ANI)
