Noted television actress Sara Khan's vehicle met an accident when it hit a road divider and overturned in Mumbai Saturday morning. However, no causalities were reported.
According to the TV reports, Sara, along with four of her friends, was returning home from the birthday party of Pratyusha Banerjee (the original Anandi of Balika Vadhu) around 3 a.m. when the incident took place in Oshiwara.
According to the police officials, the car, which was being driven by one of Sara's friends, suddenly lost control when it reached the Mega-Mall at Oshiwara, hit a divider and overturned.
Moreover, few passengers sustained minor injuries, including Sara, but no other casualties were reported.
Police is investigating whether the person driving the car and the co-passengers were in an inebriated state or not.
Originally from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Sara (24) is known for her roles in various television serials like "Bidai", "Sapna Babul Ka", "Ram Milayi Jodi", and "Junoon".
She was also seen in the reality show Bigg Boss 4 in 2010, and is likely to appear in some Bollywood movies.
Khan married to Ali Merchant in an Islamic wedding ceremony on November 10, 2010 on reality show Bigg Boss. However they are divorced in 2011.
