Vodafone India provides free Twitter to all for 3 months

In a special partnership, Vodafone India, one of India's leading telecommunications service providers has collaborated with Twitter, the world's leading real time information network to provide free Twitter services to its user.

The announcement was made today and will be valid till 1 November 2013.

  • People having Android phone and Vodafone connection can avail this free service through ‘Twitter for Android' app.
  • Other people can get free access of Twitter through on their browser mobile.twitter.com.

No charges will be deducted on visiting the Twitter website through the official app. However, if user clicks on other links within twitter to go to other websites then charges will be applied.

Using unofficial app will also result in deduction.

Vodafone India customers can connect in real-time with news, entertainment, sports and other interests on Twitter without data charges.

Further, Twitter will promote the 'no mobile internet charges' experience on Vodafone. With an integrated customer experience module, Vodafone and Twitter will ensure seamless and transparent browsing experience by clearly prompting and informing the customer on the applicable charges, especially when they are accessing links via their Twitter timeline and elsewhere on Twitter's network.
