Twitter Hacked Again...Is It Time to Move On??
Twitter was hacked again, passwords and username were leaked again. This is not the first time this social networking site has faced this problem and to be frank this will not be last.
Twitter revealed itself that around 250,000 user accounts were hacked by anonymous hackers in a massive security breach.
Bob Lord, Twitter's director of information security stated that, "The breach was not an amateur attack. After investigation, it has been found that the hackers may have accessed limited user information like usernames, email addresses, session tokens and encrypted versions of passwords for the affected users".
Lord also said, "As precautionary security measures, the company had reset passwords and revoked session tokens for these accounts".
Facebook, Google+, VK or any other social networking site for that matter has not been hacked this much like the twitter has, why, because they try hard to repel the attacks. Their anti-hackers or guardians have made them almost invincible.
It is not that hackers only try to attack Twitter or they love Twitter. They try equally to hack into other social networking sites or government's sites of world for that matter. It's just that the anti-hacking or online security personnel of such websites keep them at bay.
Twitter doesn't seem to even learn from the attacks after attacks and its mistakes. It's not long that people will start moving from it, if they find it insecure, if their privacy is breached from time to time.
Just changing the password won't help for long.
