Kolkata, Dec. 12, (ANI): With annual consumer price inflation jumping to 11.24 percent in November from 10.17percent in October, Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan on Thursday said the RBI is uncomfortable with current level of inflation.
Addressing the media after the conclusion of the RBI's board meeting, Rajan said, "We will analyze all data. Clearly growth is weaker than we would like, inflation is higher than we would like,"
"In a situation where you have high inflation and low growth you have to calibrate policy carefully," he added.
Adding that the RBI will be taking all data into consideration, he said the RBI was "very uncomfortable" with the current level of inflation. He also noted that wholesale price inflation data was due to be out on Monday.
