Kathmandu, Nov. 23 (ANI): The Nepali Congress is leading in 97 of the 223 seats for which electoral results have been declared so far for the 601-member Constituent Assembly.
The CPN-UML is in second lead position with 86 seats.
The UCPN (Maoist) is leading in 24 seats, while the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum(Democratic ) is leading in four.
The Terai Madhesi Loktanrik Party (TMLP) and others are leading in four seats each.
The Rashtriya Prajantra Party is leading in three seats, while the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum - Nepal is in the lead in two seats.
There are 240 direct seats and 335 proportionate seats. Counting for the latter is also on.
In all, 120 political parties have fielded over 10,000 candidates for the 335 proportionate seats.
Polling for the second Constituent Assembly was held on November 19, and results for 240 direct seats are yet to come in. (ANI)
