For the past 24 years cricket has meant watching Sachin Tendulkar to bat, for the past 24 years every single Indian has cheered for one man and one man only, and now on everything will change.
No more chants of Sachin...Sachin, no more master blaster from the commentators and no more straight drives from him.
People used to keep fast, pray for Sachin's century and whenever he scored runs whole of India celebrated together. In a way he gave all of us one motive to stand together. Though he scored century it was we who celebrated the happiness back at home like we have achieved that.
He tormented every bowler, every team, still they had nothing but respect for him. It shows how great a cricketer Sachin is.
Indian cricket is left vacant with him gone, his void won't be filled. There are other players, there might be someone good but not as good as Sachin.
There has been no player in history that has been so much loved, idolized, prayed, actually there is only one player who is worshipped. How can anybody replace a person who is worshipped?
It is hard for everybody to let go of their idol, it is hard to see Sachin away from cricket, cricket and Sachin are the perfect pair, couple, made for each other.
They can't be separated, not for long.
Besides God does not take rest, nor they retire...It's just a start of a new inning of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.
