New Delhi, Oct 21 (IANS) Journalist Nalini Singh has said she is ready to comply with the court's orders in the murder case of teenager Aarushi Talwar and servant Hemraj. She had earlier raised questions about the sequence of events leading to the murder.

In a television debate, she had said that there were seven people, including the Talwar couple, Aarushi, Hemraj along with Krishna, Rajkumar and Vijoy Mandal, in the L-32 Jal Vayu Vihar, Noida, home of the Talwars on the fateful night of May 15, 2008.

The Central Bureau of Investigation had said there were four people in the home at that time.

"There were seven people in the house of the Talwars, and that is what the then investigating officer of the CBI, Anuj Arya, told me during the investigation of the case," Nalini Singh told IANS on phone.

She also said that she was ready, if the court wanted, to appear for a statement.

"I am neither a friend of the Talwars nor of the CBI. But if the court asks me to come, I would comply with court orders," Singh said.

Earlier this month, she had written a letter to CBI director Ranjit Sinha, complaining that neither she nor Anuj Arya, were witnesses in the case.

According to Singh, the head of a Nepali TV channel, the three servants who were earlier arrested for the double murder and later let go had been drinking in Hemraj's room. During interrogations, they had said that they were listening to a Nepali song on a TV channel at the time the murder is suspected to have occurred.

Anuj Arya, the investigating officer at the time of the CBI, had contacted Singh to confirm that the song they mentioned had indeed played on the channel at the time the servants said they heard it.

Singh had confirmed that it was true that the song had played at that time.

During the final arguments in the Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case, the CBI claimed the Talwar couple had killed their daughter and their servant.
