Apple halves production of latest low-cost iPhone5C, month after release

Sydney, Fri, 11 Oct 2013 ANI

Sydney, Oct. 11(ANI): Apple has reportedly cut down on production of its latest iPhone5C, the low-cost model, a month after its release.

The tech giant will halve the current 3,00,000 unit-a-day pace to 1,50,000 unit-a-day.

According to news.com.au, the poor demand for the low-cost iPhone5C is speculated to be behind the cut down of production.

Apple has made no comment on the reason for the cutback.

The report said that in China, demand for the 5C has been so low retailers were forced to lower the sale price even further, however, the demand for the standard iPhone5S is still high and the company warns orders for the 5S is on back order. (ANI)
