New Delhi, Oct 11 (IANS) One designer went back in time and the other borrowed ideas from men's fashion for the fourth show of third day of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Spring Summer 2014.

Designer Payal Pratap borrowed the chintz printing technique from 17th and 18th centuries for her spring summer collection, but used embroidery techniques to give a modern take. Her creations featured framework portrait embroideries.

She mostly made use of red and cobalt blue for tunic dresses, kurtas, pants and more. Chanderi, khadi and silk were extensively used for her collection.

Designer Sanchita Ajjampur's collection had shirts and jackets, pencil dresses and more. She said that she stole few things from men's wardrobe like the shirts.

Pale blue, lavender violet, and black were some of the colours that looked fabulous on fabrics like paper silk and muslin silk in her line.

Totes, clutches and strappy sandals completed the looks.

Actor Rahul Dev occupied a seat in the front row during the shows.
