Dr SKS Marya appointed new President of IOA
The renowned orthopedic surgeon and Vice Chairman of India's premium Hospital Max Healthcare Dr. Sanjiv Kumar Singh Marya has been elected as the new President of Indian Orthopedic Association (IOA), one of the largest professional organizations with more than 9000 active life members.
Dr. S K S Marya is one of the most eminent joint replacement surgeons who has conducted over 12000 knee, hip, shoulder, finger and toe surgeries in his 30-years log carrier. He specializes in Joint Replacement Surgery for the joints of upper and lower limbs (Primary and Revision) and Trauma Management based on AO Principles.

Dr. Marya has been conferred a number of awards and recognitions including the 'Praman Patra' from the Chief Minister of Punjab, 'Haryana Vigyan Ratna' from the Chief Minister of Haryana, 'Distinguished Service Award' from the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Delhi and 'Bharat Jyoti Award' from the Governor of Tamil Nadu.
Dr. Marya is also the author of 7 text books on Orthopaedics. He has conducted live surgery demonstrations more than 60 times in India and in almost 8 countries abroad like Zimbabwe, Philippines, Malaysia, Poland to name a few. He has also deliver lectures on Orthopaedics in more than 20 countries.
