Thrissur (Kerala), Sept.21 (ANI): Curtains were brought down on the harvest festival of Onam in Kerala on Friday.
A lively and colourful Pulikalli, or Tiger Dance, was performed on the occasion.
Enthusiastic performers with their bodies painted with tiger stripes took part in the Pulikalli Dance in Thrissur.
Thrissur was a sea of stripes and spots as the 'big cats' with their bulging bellies danced to the brisk and vigorous beats of an ensemble of traditional drummers of Kerala.
Thousands of curious onlookers enjoyed the annual cultural fare.
A grand procession of tableaux followed the dancers and musicians.
The tiger dance is performed to appease Goddess Durga. (ANI)
