Lahore, Aug 26 (ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a hike in player salaries in its new budget, coming as a relief to contracted players, who have not been paid their retainer-ships since January this year.
According to The Nation, players have now been promised a 15 percent hike in their monthly retainer-ships even as a hike for the PCB employees was not offered.
Pakistan also saved further expense, as it did not host any international junior team tournament in the previous fiscal year, the report said.
The budget was delayed over the Islamabad High Court's judgment, which barred the interim PCB chairman to take major decisions, the report added. (ANI)
