Islamabad, July 16 (ANI): US drone strikes in Pakistan are having a negative impact on the mutual desire of the both countries to forge a cordial and cooperative relationship and to ensure peace and stability in the region, Foreign Office has said.
The comments by the FO spokesman came as the Pakistan Government strongly condemned the drone strike that took place in Mir Ali Tehsil of North Waziristan Agency.
In a statement, he said these unilateral strikes are a violation of Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He said that Pakistan has repeatedly emphasized the importance of bringing an immediate end to drone strikes.
According to the Nation, it is the third US attack since Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has come to power.
He said that Pakistan Government has consistently maintained that drone strikes are counter-productive, entail loss of innocent civilian lives and have human rights and humanitarian implications, the report added. (ANI)
