Hafiz Saeed alleges India responsible for terrorism, energy crisis in Pakistan

Lahore , Mon, 08 Jul 2013 ANI

Lahore, July 8 (ANI): Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed has warned the Nawaz Sharif Government in Pakistan to be careful before renewing its relations with India.

Saeed has said India is responsible of energy crisis in Pakistan, as it has constructed 62 dams on our rivers, creating water shortage in the country.

"Our new government wants friendly relations with India. We can understand government's compulsions but it should be careful in its move," The Nation quoted him as saying, while addressing the participants of a consultative meeting on the ongoing problems facing the country including terrorism, energy crisis and drone attacks with journalists at Jamia Qadsia on Sunday.

Saeed said the energy problem was also related with India because it was constructing dams on Pakistan's rivers.

"India is hatching conspiracies against Pakistan, promoting terrorism by sending its agents into our country," Saeed said.

"Friendship with India meant not to talk about Kashmir issue," he added.

The JuD chief also held India responsible for the new wave of terrorism in Pakistan which he said was now spreading in Punjab as well. (ANI)
