Shimla, July 3 (IANS) Himachal Pradesh may again experience very heavy rainfall in the next three days, a weather department official said here Wednesday.
"The entire state is likely to experience heavy to very heavy spells of rainfall from July 4 to 6," Manmohan Singh, meteorological department director here, told IANS.
According to Met terminology, "heavy" rain ranges from 64.5 to 124.4 mm in a day, and "very heavy" rain from 124.5 to 244.4 mm in 24 hours.
Official sources said 20 people were killed and 1,000 houses were damaged in the June 16-18 downpour that triggered massive landslides, blocking many roads, in the state's Kinnaur district.
Tourist destinations like Sangla, Pooh, Kaza and Nako are still cut off from the rest of the state.
Meanwhile, Shimla experienced 54 mm rain in the past 24 hours, Akri 53 mm, Kasauli 22 mm and Palampur 18 mm.
