Assange accuses 'no friend of WikiLeaks' Google of 'complex agenda'

Sydney , Fri, 14 Jun 2013 ANI

Sydney, June 14 (ANI): WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in his keynote address at Sydney University, scathing in his attacks said that Google is not at his side and rather has a much more 'complex agenda'.

Assange through live streaming from Ecuadorian embassy gave his lecture at International Symposium of Electronic Arts Conference and called Google to be working in favour of the US government and project itself as its geopolitical visionary.

According to the report, Assange alleged that his meeting with Google chairman Eric Schimdt and his girlfriend Lisa Shields, media manager for US council of foreign relations in June 2011 was but pretence of researching a book on WikiLeaks called 'The New Digital Age'.

Assange claimed that Google used the opportunity for providing the information back to the government adding that Google's intention is not to sell books but project into Washington old estate.

In light of the recent revelations of Google using the US run spy programme to furnish user data without warrant, Assange further claimed that Google has been snooping all of its users and knows more about the user than the user would know himself.

Assange said that his party will make the Australian intelligence agencies more transparent as it is not subject to Freedom of Information requests like the CIA, the report added. (ANI)
