Dehradun, June 8 (ANI): As many as 631 Gentlemen Cadets passed out from the prestigious Indian Military Academy (IMA) after a ceremonial parade here on Saturday.

Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal N.A.K. Browne, reviewed the parade.

The Indian Military Academy, Dehradun (also known as IMA) is the officer training Academy of the Indian Army. IMA was established in 1932.

A trainee on admission to the IMA is referred to as a Gentleman Cadet. One reason for this is that the academy expects its graduates to uphold the highest moral and ethical values.

With the purpose of grooming future military leaders of the Indian Army, the training regime at IMA moulds the physical and mental attributes and sharpen the leadership skills of cadets. Physical training, drills, weapons training, leadership development and practices form the focus of the training. (ANI)
