Kazakhstan's Astana City to host 11th Eurasian Media Forum

Astana/New Delhi, April 16 (ANI):Kazakhstan will host the 11th Eurasian Media Forum (EAMF) in Astana on April 25 and 26.

The event will take place in Astana's television and radio complex KazMediaOrtalygy.

A media release issued by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in New Delhi said that over the past ten years the Eurasian Media Forum has grown into one of significant events not only for the Kazakh public, but also for the entire international media community.

The forum is used by leading journalists, politicians and experts from various countries to attempt to find answers to pressing issues which concern modern society, and thus, shape global intellectual response to challenges of the 21st century.

The Forum's organising committee, led by its Chairperson Dr. Dariga Nazarbayeva, expressed confidence about journalists, politicians and public figures combining their efforts in search for resolutions to geopolitical and media problems.

The agenda likely to be taken up at the EAMF is as follows:

Issues of regional security after withdrawal of US and NATO troops from Afghanistan in 2014.

Manageable chaos becomes an uncontrollable catastrophe. Situation in the Middle East.

EXPO-2017. Economic development capacities of Kazakhstan and the region. Realness of creating green economy in Kazakhstan in the coming years.

The concept of the Eurasian economic union - what lessons can be learned from the crisis-stricken European Union? The Cyprus syndrome.

Information security. The influence of the mass media and social networks on the world's political affairs.
