Peshawar, April 14 (ANI): One candidate of the Awami National Party (ANP) was killed, and another injured in bomb explosions in the restive tribal-dominant regions of Pakistan on Sunday.
Mukaram Shah was killed by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED)in Swat's Manglawar area, while Syed Masoom Shah was injured in a bomb attack near the venue of a party rally in Charsadda.
Mukaram Shah was killed in Banjot village. The vehicle in which he was travelling was destroyed in the blast.
Masoom Shah was injured along with three other people in Katozai village in Charsadda's Shabqadar tehsil, the Dawn newspaper reported.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks as yet, but the local Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militant organisation has warned of and conducted attacks against secular parties including the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and ANP. (ANI)
