New York, Mar. 29 (ANI): Jennifer Lopez, who was in talks to perform at the opening ceremony of India's Premier League cricket tournament, will not be coming to India for the concert as her deal reportedly fell apart over diva demands from her camp.
According to a source, the 43-year-old singer's manager, Benny Medina, had asked that a private plane be made available for her, along with numerous hotel rooms for her huge entourage, which included an army of stylists, assistants and a personal chef.
Officials at the Pepsi IPL balked at the diva demands and instead booked Cuban American rapper Pitbull for the opening ceremony to be held next Tuesday, which will also feature some of Bollywood's biggest stars.
A source told the New York Post that the demands made on behalf of Lopez were outrageous.
The source asserted that the she effectively priced herself out of the event, which was an idiotic move as the audience for IPL is huge only last year it drew 56 million viewers.
A representative for Lopez said that the reason she didn't perform in India was because she is busy, as the date conflicted with her current music-recording schedule for an album due this summer. (ANI)
