Los Angeles, March 25 (IANS) Singer Britney Spears has introduced her new boyfriend David Lucado to her sons - Preston, 7, and Jayden, 6.
The 31-year-old started dating Lucado after calling off her engagement to Jason Trawick in January. She is serious about Lucado and wants him to know her kids.
"Her family first made sure that Lucado is a good person before they let Spears get closer to him," femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying.
"The boys think of Lucado as a good friend. It was a big step, she's very excited," the source added.
Following her split from Trawick, the singer was said to be focusing on her sons who are from her marriage to Kevin Federline.
Spears is also busy creating new songs inspired by Preston and Jayden, and hinted she will release them in the future.
"I'm at the studio recording a new song for my boys. They are going to freak out when they hear it. So excited," Spears posted on her Facebook page.
