Will not bring no confidence motion: BJP

New Delhi,Politics, Tue, 19 Mar 2013 IANS

New Delhi, March 19 (IANS) After the DMK Tuesday announced withdrawal of support from the UPA, the BJP said it will not bring a no confidence motion as it wants the government to fall on its own.

"The Congress led UPA government is in an ICU. It is a lame duck government surviving on the support of two contradictory parties," Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy said.

He, however, added: "We will not bring a no confidence motion, we want the government to fall on its own."

The BJP leader also said that government allies were now trying to find excuses to abandon the "sinking ship" of Congress.

"The allies one after the other are trying to find excuses and break away. None of them wants to carry the burden of Congress to the next general elections," he said.

The DMK Tuesday quit the UPA and its government voicing dismay over India's stand over Sri Lanka at the UNHRC.

Party leader M. Venkaiah Naidu said the UPA was no longer capable of running the country and should "get out".

"Nothing is well with the Congress... It is no more capable of running the country and it should get out," he said.
