Abducted siblings killed in Delhi

New Delhi , Sat, 02 Mar 2013 ANI

New Delhi, Mar. 2 (ANI): Two siblings, who were abducted from West Delhi's Mandawali area on Tuesday afternoon, have been found dead.

The children, who were missing for the past three days, were kidnapped from Mothers Convent School in Mandawali area of West Delhi.

Relatives of the kidnapped children filed a first investigation report with the Delhi Police.

"My nephew's son and daughter were abducted on Tuesday from the school at 1 o clock. We lodged an FIR (and the police started the investigation. The one person on whom we had suspicion on and asked the police to arrest was not arrested by the police because his uncle is some high ranking individual and he sent away the police by bribing them," said a relative of the victims.

The children's mother usually picked up the children after the school got over.

"I was going to pick up my children when I saw the door was locked from outside. I told the landlord that the door is locked from the outside and he just asked me to wait and see if anyone comes. I told him that my children would get late so his son suggested that I jump from the roof and go. I jumped over the other roof and went to pick up my children, but on reaching there I was told by a teacher that a boy came and took away my children," said the mother of the victims.

The abduction took place on Tuesday afternoon. The father of the children received a call from a local phone booth, making it difficult to trace the culprits. The kidnappers demanded a total ransom of Rs. 30 lakh

The locals staged a protest outside the Mandawali Police Station after the recovery of bodies today and demanded justice for the family. The locals, who expressed deep sympathies for the family, also demanded that the accused be arrested soon.

The family suspects a neighbour to be the prime suspect in this case. (ANI)
