Brussels, Jan.16 (ANI): A GPS error made a Belgian woman drive through six countries for almost 1500 kilometres, before she noticed the malfunctioning car navigation system.
Sabine Moreau, 67, a resident of Solre-sur-Sambre, Belgium, left her home to pick up a friend from the train station at Brussels, 61 km away from her house. However, she made a wrong turn, and due to her malfunctioning navigation system, she found herself in Zagreb, Croatia, 1500 km away from where she started, reports News.com.au.
The incident came to light when the woman's son reported her missing to the police, who then organized a manhunt. The search was called off when Moreau called her son from Croatia.
According to Moreau, she did not notice anything wrong, even after numerous stopovers and after passing street signs in different languages, until, 60 hours later, she realised that she may have passed Belgium.
Reports say that Moreau may have drove through France, Germany, Austria and Slovenia, before reaching Croatia. (ANI)
