The Lt. Governor of Delhi Wednesday has given the green signal to 895 colonies out of 917 declared earlier by Delhi government to make it legal and authorise, sources said.
The Lt. Governor of Delhi Wednesday issued a notification of approval to 895 colonies if they meet the norms like colonies must not be on the land or nor near the protected monuments etc..

This approval of Lt. Governor (LG) paves the way to develop the notified colony on the line of other authorise colonies of Delhi.
While approving regularisation of the colonies, Khanna asked Delhi government to strictly adhere to all laid-down eligibility criteria including ensuring 50 per cent built-up area in each of the colonies.
As much as 35 lakh people live in these unauthorised colonies.
