The fifth edition of Airtel Delhi Half Marathon (ADHM) in New Delhi on Saturday was dominated by the Kenyans and Ethiopians by clinching the top spots in both men’s and women categories. While Edwin Kipyego from Kenya topped the position in men category by finishing the 21 km race in 1 hour and 55 seconds, Yimer Wude from Ethiopia won the women's race by making it in 1 hour 12 minutes. Kipyego will be awarded with a sum of USD 25,000 for his victory.
Though Kipyego could not break the previous record of Lelisa Desisa of Ethiopia who finished the race in 59:30s in earlier edition.
From India Rahul Kumar Pal and Sudha Singh took 01:06:12 and 01:19:34 respectively to make their stand to the Indian men and women's catagories. Rahul finished overall 16th, while Sudha made it to the 17th position.
Other Kenyans Leonard Langat and Silas Kipruto finished second and third respectively.
