NDMC decision, now meeting hall of old Town Hall is available for rent

In an important decision to facilitate different organizations, the North Delhi Muncipal Corporation has decided to rent out its old and new meeting halls in Town Hall situated at Chandni Chowk, the Headquarter of the erstwhile MCD. The Meeting Hall would be made available for various purposes as arranging workshops, meetings, conference and related functions etc.

The Mayor of North Delhi Mrs. Mira Aggarwal said that the main purpose to provide the facility is that the Chandni Chowk is thickly populated internationally renowned commercial area where there is lot of organizations but they don?t have such a facility in the vicinity. This would certainly help them organizing their meetings/ allied activities in the nearby area and the North Delhi Muncipal Corporation would be able to maintain its aesthetics with the revenue generated through rent.

The charges for the new Meeting Hall per day would be Rs 70,000 and for the old Meeting Hall, it would be Rs. 30,000. The cost for half day booking would be Rs 35,000 for new meeting hall and Rs 15,000 for old meeting hall.

The first body was given to Delhi Hindustani Mercantile Association for new meeting hall. So, first private function was organized yesterday that was also graced by the Mayor.
