Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Jai Prakash Agarwal has said the BCC presidents should get due respect as they were the true pillars of the party, and if they were unhappy, then the party's foundation will get weakened, and if the foundation is weak, then it will affect the standing of the party. He was addressing during a function organized for three Block Congress Committee (BCC) presidents were honoured with shields for being made the BCC presidents at Rajiv Bhawan.
On the occasion Aggrawal said that DPCC respects and honours the BCC presidents as they play a prominent and important role in building and consolidating the party at the grass-root level. Shri Agarwal exhorted the BCC presidents to hold such functions at the booth-level as well. He said the true colour of a party is revealed when it honours its workers. Jagadambika Pal, MP said the DPCC has set a commendable precedent, which should be emulated by other PCCs. He said we could reach our goal only by honouring the party workers. MPs R.C.Kuntia and Dhiraj Sahu also addressed the gathering.
The function was presided over by DPCC president Shri Jai Prakash Agarwal, MP. Chief guests at the function were MPs Jagadambika Pal, R.C. Kuntia and Dhiraj Sahu, who presented shields to the BCC presidents. Preet Vihar BCC president Gurcharan Singh Raju, Shakurpur BCC president Inder Kaushik and Kalkaji BCC president Gulshan Takkar were draped with shawls and presented shields.
