Haryana HPSC mains to start from September 2

Haryana HPSC mains examination will start from September 2. The process of recruitment will help get HCS officers for state as Haryana is facing a huge dearth of state civil service officers.
Before the commencement of exam, the High Court will hear the petitions filed against the recruitment of the exam on August 22.
The state of Haryana has 177 officers against the cadre strength of 263. In order to man the all the post of officers, the state government want to increase the strength of the cadre. The HPSC is conducting examination for 151 out f of which 25 posts are of HCS officers and rest of the posts are of allied services.
The preliminary examination held on 25th April became controversial due to presence of a large number of wrong questions in question paper. Now the HPSC wants to give grace marks for 18 wrong questions and continue with the mains examinations.
On the other hand 23 petitioners who had filed petitions in high court say that not 18 but 24 questions are wrong and examination should be taken afresh. And proposed mains should be cancelled.
Around 77,000 aspirants from Haryana had applied for the HPPS examination.
