Prince of Kolkata, Sourav Ganguly feels that he could have played for another two years and regrets his early retirement from international cricket in 2008.

Former India captain said on Sunday "I do regret my decision (to retire) sometimes, that I should not have acted in anger, But I did and that bit is done and dusted. Yes, I could have played for another two years".

He said he reacted in haste and anger, when Indian selectors didn't made him part of Indian side in Irani Cup.

"I didn't have one good series (in Sri Lanka) and, when the Irani Trophy squad was announced, my name was missing. I'd stopped enjoying my game because I was thinking about things not related to my game, to my cricket. I could have probably just said 'Let them do what they want' and wait for my time".

After almost one month Sourav announced his retirement from international cricket in 2008.

After his retirement Ganguly played in four Indian Premier Leagues and was constantly part of domestic team of Bengal.

Ganguly still feel there is much cricket left in him. This year his IPL team, Pune Warrior stood last in points table and there were speculations that IPL 5 would be his last as a player. But Ganguly says, "We have three-year contracts and I have a year to go. There's time, let's see".
