Delhi University ready to stop ragging

Delhi University have planned to take special measures to strict any kind of ragging in the college campuses with the beginning of new session from July 24, said an official.
The university has plan to set up two control rooms in both the north and south campuses, said a statement from the university, which was issued after a meeting of the proctorial board.
The statement quoted, the colleges have been directed to prohibit the entry of outsiders and follow the anti-ragging norms laid out by the Supreme Court strictly.
"Disciplinary squads have been formed in each college and extra vigil is being maintained at all eating joints in the university campus," the statement said.
In addition to that, Delhi Police will also set up special posts in each college, which will also patrol sensitive areas of the university.
Moreover, mobile police squads and plain-clothed policewomen will also be deployed in order to provide security to women students.
All the new students will require filling up an anti-ragging affidavit and the university's FM radio station will air talks with police and varsity officials against ragging.
