Traffic Police is all set to face traffic challenges during monsoon

Presence of Monsoon is not a trouble for only civil agencies for the water lodging problems; it also creates hurdles for smooth flow of traffic during rainy season due to water lodging, its signals and other hindrances. But now Delhi Traffic Police has claimed to be update to face the challenges against monsoon for the smooth flow of traffic during monsoon.

Delhi Joint Commissioner of Police (traffic) Satyendra Garg said that it is ready with full preparation for the coming monsoon and serviced all the traffic signals in the capital to ensure the lights do not black out with the rains.

Garg said,"We have already serviced all the traffic signals. We are also closely liaising with the Delhi civic authorities to ensure that issues like water logging due to rains are resolved at the earliest."

Talking about the traffic snarls which inevitably occurred during the rains and create trouble for the people, he said the even in case there is a traffic snarl due to rains, we will ensure that there are adequate traffic policemen to man the situation and ensure smooth traffic movement in the rain-hit areas.

Apart from these, enough personnel on the roads will be deployed to ensure smooth traffic flow. Traffic police is often the fastest to respond to rain-related incidents such as fallen trees, and has disaster management vehicles on the ready to address such issues, he added.
