Delhi Industries and Labour Minister Shri Ramakant Goswami today inaugurated the 2nd Indian Stainless Steel Houseware Show 2012 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Delhi MLA Shri Hari Shankar Gupta was also present. A large number of manufacturers have put up their stalls to exhibit products. The show will remain open until Thursday.
Speaking on this occasion Shri Goswami stated that India is the first Nation in the world to have consuming about 65% of its total steel production of 20 lakh ton per annum for the manufacturing of the Stainless Steel Houseware considering its usage and suitability for the each and every Indian both in terms of price and durability. The Stainless Steel Houseware is being used for the last so many decades. There is scope for expansion of this industry in the country. Shri Goswami added that there is a major market of Stainless Steel Housewares in Delhi. The demand of Stainless Steel Houseware is going up day by day. India today has over 3000 manufacturers of Stainless Steel Houseware, which is reached to the household of the country by over 2 lakh traders and also to overseas household by over 300 exporters.
