While the way of Raisina Hills for Pranab Mukherjee is going to be more easy day by day, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has reiterated that Sangama will be one of the candidate for the coming Prez polls and there is not any changing in the thought. Meanwhile Sangama's own party National Congress Party (NCP) has hinted Sangama to withdraw his name from the race as party has supporting Mukherjee unconditionally for the post.
It is noted that after the declaration the name of Pranab Mukherjee as the UPA candidate for the President polls, Congress has completely changed the strategies for many parties including NDA.
In a latest development when UPA is trying its best to get support from all the parties, BJD has said that there is not any change in its attitude. Senior BJD leader and state Finance Minister Prafulla Ghadai said that still there is no change in party's stand and Sangama is our candidate for the coming president polls. He revealed out the fact after the meeting in which Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik held to senior party leaders at his official residence here to discuss the presidential election.
Meanwhile NCP leader and central minister Prafful Patel has said that Mr. Sangma does not enjoy support of the NCP. He said that he is a senior leader and he should not defy the party's direction or the line of thinking as party has decided to support UPA candidate unconditionally.
It is noted that Sangma has cleared last day that he would contest the presidential election and had got support from many political parties. He had refused to withdraw his candidature even if NCP chief Sharad Pawar asked him to do so.
