'Disappearing' tweets mystery solved

The mystery about disappearing 'get' word has reportedly been solved and it was found that Microsoft DOS command might be the culprit for it.
Whenever you type any word using prefix 'get' the text disappears immediately as you hit 'Tweet' for example: type 'get lost', 'get better' or 'get bent' and hit twitter, the text immediately disappears.
This has been happening because the word 'get' still acts as a command from the pre-Windows world of MS-DOS : where programmers type words such as 'copy' or "delete" to perform functions, News.com.au reported.
Now, in the case of Twitter, typing 'get' acts as a command to retrieve the last tweet from a certain user.
However the question that arises is why doesn't Twitter just fix the problem.
'BuzzFeed' revealed that the commands are handy to people who tweet via text message.
"A majority of these commands aren't things you'd otherwise use in a two-word tweet, and most only work through the SMS service - you can tweet "suggest something" just fine from a computer or app, for example," said 'BuzzFeed' staffer, John Hermann.
