Appreciating to Bhartiya Janta Party's (BJP's) performance in the northeastern (NE) states, BJP President Nitin Gadkari said that BJP has a bright future in the northeastern states and several politicians want to join Bhartiya Janata Party.

Gadkari said it on the sideline of attending the party's state executive meeting held Saturday. There he was also exploring the chances of BJP's victory in the next assembly election scheduled in three NE states - in Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura early next year.

'Though, we failed to get desired seats in Assam but our vote share increased, except in Barak Valley,' said Gadkari adding that party's future is bright in these states.

"Several senior leaders from various regional parties have come and met me here and expressed their willingness to join the BJP. I cannot name them all at this moment but I can tell you that several veteran politicians have expressed their willingness to come to the BJP's fold and we welcome them all," he told reporters, adding that he would visit some of the other northeastern states soon.

On possible poll alliances for the Lok Sabha elections, Gadkari said BJP had not received any indication from any party and the meeting only discussed ways to strengthen the party ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

He said the party had prepared vision documents for development of northeastern states.

To foresee a bright future, need of the hour is to stimulate NE development and be the driving force in ensuring implementation of all the ongoing/upcoming (much needed) projects without any further delay and set an example infront of the people to judge and decide!!

For an instance, Tripura having so much potential interms of natural and human resources and a prospective gateway between India and southeast Asia for high volume economic activities - still do not have a single IIT, IIM or a top quality institution for healthcare or not even a single high tech industrial presence which:

1.Sets in a feeling of alienation from the national mainstream due to lack of interaction with people from other parts of the country.
2.Sets in a feeling of helplessness due to non-availability of a top class healthcare facility .. as in those critical hours people have to rush to kolkata and other part of the country!
3.Sets in a feeling of agony by remaining unemployed even though having potential matched by folks in other parts of the county! and a painful separation from family for those who goes to outside state for better job opportunities!

Can BJP be the driving force to solve above issues and set an example?
