IPL 5: Pune Warriors' second consecutive victory

Sourav Ganguly led Pune Warriors won their second consecutive match beating Kings XI Punjab by 22 runs at Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium in Pune on Sunday.

Pune skipper Sourav Ganguly won the toss and elected to bat first. And his team proved the decision right by 166 runs in 20 overs. Ganguly did not look in form but yielded 20 runs in 18 balls including three boundaries. Marlon Samuels and Robin Uthappa shared a 81-run- stand that was crucial in scoring a big total for the team. Steven Smith's 25 runs off 12 balls further boosted the team.

Chasing a good target Kings XI Punjab never showed commitment to give it a fight. Wickets fall at the regular intervals and both the openers Gilchrist (6) and Valthaty (1) were run-out. Bipul Sharma, who came to bat at number eight, was highest scorer for Punjab. He made 35 runs.

Marlon Samuels of Pune Warriors was given Man of the Match for his all round performance he took one wicket and scored 46 runs off 39 balls.
