MCD election:Local issue vanishes into star campaigning

Now only one week has remained for the MCD election in Delhi, both major parties are leaving no stone unturned for their candidate's victory. When Congress is depends upon Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and other Cabinet Ministers, BJP is ready to launch its star members.

According to Jai Prakash Aggrawal, president Delhi Pradesh Congress Commiittee, BJP is completely desperate. He said that Congress is depends upon chief minister Sheila Dikshit and other cabinet ministers.

Congress is ready to take help of union ministers like Kapil Sibal and Salman Khurshid for the elections, which is near one week ahead. Apart from these Congress MPs, including Mahabal Mishra, Sachin Pilot, J.P. Agarwal, Ajay Maken, Ramesh Kumar, Krishna Tirath and Sandeep Dikshit, are also expected to campaign.

On the other side BJP is depends upon its star members who are likely to join party's campaign. Bollywood actors-turned-politicians like Shatrughan Sinha, Hema Malini, Smriti Irani as well as former cricketer Navjot Singh Siddhu are ready for campaigning.

According to BJP sources party members Shatrughan Sinha, Hema Malini, Smriti irani and Navjot Siddhu, will be involved in the partys campaign after Sunday.

It is noted that this will be the first election to the trifurcated MCD. While the corporations of north and south Delhi will each have 104 wards, there will be 64 wards in east Delhi. Fifty percent of the seats have been reserved for women.
