20 killed in collision between two buses in UP

At least 20 people killed and many injured when two buses collided from a bus coming from opposite direction and fell into ditch in Gorakhpur district in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. Sources said that at least 15 passengers died on the spot and other succumbed to their injury in the nearest hospitals. 

Accident took place in Mani ram village near Chiluataal town of Gorakhpur when a state transport bus collided with another private bus coming from the opposite direction. 

Among deceased, thee were 11 men, six women and three children, police sources said. Injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals where some of them are critical. Police sources said that the death toll could be rise as rescue operation is going on and many critically injured are struggling for their life in the hospital. Senior officials had visited the accident site and also hospitals where many critically injured are battling for their life.
