Gambhir made sure that KKR wins this time

When Kolkata Knight Rider met Kings XI Punjab in their first encounter the former lost the match just by 2 runs but not this time. KKR captain Gambhir, guided his team for an 8 wicket win over KXIP and returned the favor of previous loss.

Match between KKR and KXIP started at 8 pm in PCA stadium of Mohali. KXIP won the toss and choose to bat, things were sailing smoothly till Gilchrist, their captain, pulled a hamstring and had to retire only to return in the last.

KXIP could only add a mere 124 on the board and as there was no big turn around for the day, KKR reached the score smoothly and marked their 3rd win in 6 matches they have played yet.

Gautam Gambhir was named man of the match for his unbeaten innings of 66 runs. With this win KKR are on 3rd position in the point table while having lost 3 matches KXIP are on 7th position.
